We are honored to feature Rear Admiral Kathleen K. Paige (USN, ret.) as this year’s keynote speaker. Her keynote addresses why this statement, “The Devil Does Power Point”, is a fundamental truism of life. Using examples from Ballistic Missile Defense, Adm. Paige will be discussing how she used data in seeking practical solutions to real world problems during her 29 years in the development, testing, and sustainment of complex integrated weapon systems and global ballistic missile defense systems.

 

Our presentations this year will address what makes programs success; foundations for enterprise success; use of measurement on SW-CMM and CMMI level 4 and 5 programs including the Navy’s F-18 program, General Dynamics Canada, IBM Rochester, Harris Corp., and Boeing; enterprise level measurement at Countrywide Financial Corp.; security measurement; alternative size measures; results of a measurement practice survey; and performance measurement.

 

We will also hold a series of interactive workshops to explore various measurement topics. These include: Using, Improving, and Extending COSYSMO, Metrics Program Start-Up and Maintenance, How to Boost Participation and Enhance the PSM Measurement Specification/Experience Report Libraries on the Web, Security Measurement, SEI Performance Measurement and Benchmarking, Constructive Network Infrastructure Protection Cost Model (CONIPMO) Delphi Exercise, Acquisition Measurement, Improving and Extending the SE Leading Indicators, and Defects/Anomalies Estimation and Management.
